Spotify prioritizes user experience and so they built a very quick way to filter out all explicit content from playing on your account. It’s also super easy to turn it back on once you’re back in your safe space. Since the default settings automatically allow all songs to play, you’d have to manually turn it off. Remove Explicit Content on an Individual Account
Open your Spotify AppOn the homepage, tap on the Settings icon located at the top right of your screen
Tap on ‘Explicit Content’ from the menu
Switch the toggle off to turn off explicit content
For Family Accounts
If you manage a family Spotify account, you can turn off explicit content for specific members of the family. To do this;
Log in to the Spotify Family PageTap on Premium family from the menu on the leftClick on the member you’d want to turn off forSwitch on ‘Remove Explicit Content’
Do note that not all explicit content is guaranteed to be removed. This is because Spotify can only tag content based on the information they get from right-holders. So if you do notice that a song hasn’t been tagged properly, simply report it immediately. You can do this by;
Tap on the three dash icon on the track
On the menu, tap on ‘Report Abuse’
Then on the webpage, it’ll open you can select the explicit content it depicts.
Also, not all explicit versions of songs have clean versions. You can search for song titles with the search bar to find the clean version of a song.
